TRAID PROGRAM
Technology Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities
The TRAID Program provides statewide coordination of assitive technology (AT) activities for people with disabilities, fosters development of state and federal policies and programs to enhance availability of assistive technology. The TRAID program is funded through a federal grant from the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA), Department of Health Early Intervention Program (EI) and the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Program and administered by the New York State Commission on Quality of Care (NYSCQC).
Mission- To increase independence and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities through increased access to assistive technology (AT) for work, school and community living.
Goal- The goal of Long Island Regional TRAID Center is to help individuals of all ages to access services and appropriate assistive technology devices. Assistive technology is one way for individuals to lead more independent and productive lives.
